Radish Raita | Mullangi Pachadi | Jajj Mullangi Raita | Salad

Servings- 2 



Ingredients:  



  • 1 bunch of red radish pounded 

  • 1/2 cup yogurt 

  • Salt to taste 



Tempering: 



  • 1 teaspoon oil 

  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 

  • 1/4 teaspoon hing (asafoetida) 

  • A few curry leaves 

  • Chilli flakes to taste 

  • Fresh coriander, chopped  



Method:  



  1. Wash and pound the red radishes using a mortar, pestle, or food processor.  

  2. In a bowl, add radish and the yoghurt. Set aside. 

  3. Heat oil in a small pan over medium heat. 

  4. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. 

  5. Add hing and curry leaves, and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant. 

  6. Stir in the chilli flakes and let the tempering cool down. 

  7. Add salt to the radish; pour the tempering over the radish-yoghurt mixture and coriander. 

  8. Mix thoroughly and serve chilled as a refreshing side dish.
