Instant Ottu Shavige Recipe | Akki Vattu Shavige Karnataka Style

Ingredients:
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oil
1 cup rice flour
Method:
In a large pot, combine water, salt, and oil. Bring it to a rolling boil.
Once the water boils, add the rice flour and stir it well.
Cover the pot and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
Then, turn off the heat and let it rest, covered, for 2 minutes.
While the mixture is still hot, knead it into a soft, non-sticky dough.
Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a cylindrical shape.
Grease the shaving mould (small holes mould) with oil, place the dough inside, and press it into spirals.
Steam the pressed dough for about 10 minutes or until it becomes non-sticky.
Serve and enjoy your Instant Ottu Shavige with Karnataka-style chicken curry, lamb curry, or vegetarian curry.
