Mixed Pulses Curry | Kaalu Saaru
To Grind:
2 large onions
1 large Tomato
2 tbsp Dhania / Coriander powder
½ tbsp. chilli powder
½ cup dry coconut powder
¼ cinnamon powder
5 cloves
1-inch ginger
8 to 10 garlic cloves
Some fresh coriander leaves
Water as required
Grind above ingredient into a very fine paste and keep that aside
To Cook:
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Some curry leaves
Salt
2 cups canned pulses or precooked pluses
Water
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, and then add the mustard seeds.
Let it splutter and then add curry leaves, sauté.
Add the paste. Cook for 2 minutes and add the water.
Add the salt. Fry for another 2 minutes. Now add the cooked pulses.
Cover and cook for 10 mins on a medium heat.
