EGGLESS Vanilla Crescent Cookies | Vanillekipferl
Makes 20-25 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup ground almond
1/4 cup sugar
100g butter
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
Other Ingredients:
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla sugar (for dusting)
Method:
In a large bowl, knead the flour, ground almonds, sugar, butter, and vanilla sugar together thoroughly to form a smooth dough.
Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to firm up.
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Meanwhile, sift the powdered sugar and combine it with the vanilla sugar for dusting.
Once chilled, take portions of the dough and shape them into crescent (half-moon) shapes, about 2 inches long.
Place the shaped crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden and firm.
Keep an eye on them—if they start to brown, they’re ready.
Let the crescents cool on the baking sheet for 3-4 minutes, then dust them generously with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar mixture.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
