Easy & Perfect Brownies
Servings: 12
Ingredients:
150 grams of semisweet or bittersweet chocolate
120 grams butter
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
100 grams all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
150-160 grams sugar
Marshmallows (for spiderweb decoration)
A pinch of salt
Method:
Preheat your oven to 180°C and place the rack in the center.
Grease an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan with butter or a nonstick spray.
Line the bottom with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and butter.
Microwave on medium power for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until fully melted and smooth.
Whisk in the eggs and the vanilla extract, mixing well.
Sift in the flour and cocoa powder.
Add the sugar, sprinkling a pinch of salt for balance.
Gradually fold everything together until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a little batter and a few moist crumbs.
Once the brownies are cool, melt the marshmallows and drizzle or stretch them over the brownies to create a spiderweb effect.
