Dairy-Free Masala Chai | Vegan Tea

Ingredients:
3/4 cup water
11/2 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, or oat)
2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf tea
2 cardamom pods, crushed
1 small piece of fresh ginger, crushed
2 sugar or any sweetener of your choice (optional)
Method:
In a saucepan, add water, cardamom, and ginger. Bring to a boil.
Once it boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the spices to release their flavour.
Add the tea and let it steep for another 2-3 minutes and add sugar.
Stir in your choice of plant-based milk and heat gently without boiling.
Strain the chai into cups, and enjoy your warm, aromatic vegan chai!
